Mr Anwar Purwoto

Anwar Purwoto, previously he was an Indonesian Government employeefor more than 25 years, for both central and provincial government, and then he spent for more than ten years working for NGO. As government employee, he worked with the Ministry of Forestry in various fields, including conservation, production up to social/community issues and policy. He worked for WWF Indonesia as Director of Forest, Species and Fresh Water which then changed into Director of Sumatra and Kalimantan Program. Since August 2018 he has been working for IUCN SSC as Sumatran Rhino Coordinator in Indonesia for managing Sumatran Rhino Rescue Project in Indonesia, coordinating all project partners, and maintaining partnership with the Government of Indonesia.
