My name is Rois Mahmud. I have been Program Manager of ALeRT, or the Alliance of Integrated Forest Conservation, since 2024. Has a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Theology, a subject that is far from wildlife conservation. I also have a Diploma degree in spatial data analysis. I got my Master’s degree in Tropical Biodiversity Conservation at IPB University in 2020. My Conservation career started in 2011 with WWF-Indonesia to work in Sumatran rhino conservation in Lampung, but eventually landed my choice to study and contribute to the Javan rhino conservation from 2013.
